This series of miniature paintings is where I study fascinating familiar shapes "masquerading as buildings and landscape elements".  By focusing on shapes I have the opportunity to explore design, color and composition without a concern for the constraints of reality--local detail, color and arrangements.  This gives me the opportunity to take something familiar and to re-interpret it in a new manner.  The results can be thought-provoking, even poetic, which is my goal.
