Virgil is a watercolor painter, teacher, tutor, demonstrator and commentator on various Internet watercolor and painting sites. He has participated in workshops with a number of respected contemporary U.S. Canadian and Australian watercolor artists, including:
Susan Abbott, Don Andrews, Brian Ateyo, Mary Beaumont, Lee Boynton, T. Mark Cole, Carl Dalio, Domenic Distefano, Steve Fleming, William Skip Lawrence, Phil Levine, Christopher Schink, Thomas Seguros, Mel Stabin, David Taylor, James Toogood, William Vrscak, and Robert Wade.
Virgil’s paintings have been selected for juried exhibitions by the Baltimore Watercolor Society, Chester County Art Association, Delaware Valley Art League, and the Greater Norristown Art League. His paintings have also been included in juried exhibitions by the Keystone Nationals, Historic Yellow Springs Art Show, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Water Color Society and the Texas Watercolor Society.
Virgil has exhibited at the Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center, 195 Gallery in Boerne, the Comfort Art Festival, Guadalupe Watercolor Group annual exhibition and Intermezzo Gallery in Comfort.
Art Society Memberships
Virgil is a juried Signature Artist Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Water Color Society, and the Texas Watercolor Society. He is also a juried Painter Member of the Delaware Valley Art League, and a member of the Boerne Art League and the Guadalupe Watercolor Group.
He is also an associate member of the American Watercolor Society.
